Mark Del Beccaro, MD

Dr. Del Beccaro graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1985, completed his pediatric residency at Seattle Children’s Hospital and then became the Chief Pediatric Resident at Seattle Children’s Hospital in 1988. He has held several leadership positions at Seattle Children’s including Associate Chief, Emergency Services from 1999 to 2006, Chief Medical Information Officer from 1997 to 2011, and Chief Medical Officer from 2014 through 2019. He is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. He worked for over 30 years in the Emergency Department at Seattle Children’s seeing patients from all over our region.

Dr. Del Beccaro was a full-time volunteer from June of 2020 to December of 2020 for Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC) leading the testing strategy for COVID. During this time, he helped implement six high volume testing sites concentrated in South King County to serve those most impacted by COVID. He was fortunate to work with Mayor Jan Molinaro and Mutual of Enumclaw in helping to set up the testing site in Enumclaw.

In December of 2020 Dr. Del Beccaro became an Assistant Deputy Chief for PHSKC and now is also part of the COVID vaccine strategy team.

Andie Lyons, MTS is a health educator at Public Health – Seattle & King County. Andie has over 15 years of experiencing providing training, education, and support to schools, community organizations, and professionals on health, social emotional safety, infectious disease, and sexual and reproductive health.

In addition to her professional experience, Andie also holds a Master’s degree in Theology and regularly provides health and safety education to communities of faith.

Andie’s current work on the COVID-19 response for the county including providing training on the virus, vaccines, and staying safe, as well as supporting schools and child care facilities to understand and apply guidance to maximize safety.
